The founding of the New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) in 1865 marked the first successful attempt to establish a dental school in New York State. 2. Our graduates identify themselves people of science; as sophisticated consumers of research. Not every graduate has to become a scientist but a learned profession does require that every graduate become an intelligent user of research.
